Me: Cash, did you play with Brookie today?
C: Yeah, but Galia is prettier so I played with her more.

"Brookie"

or Brooklyn to everyone else but Cash. Brookie is Cash's bestie at school. She is always there in the morning and welcomes him with a hug. She chases Cash all over the room and tries to tickle him. Brookie is funnier than mommy and/or daddy. Brookie has pretzels for lunch and now we do too. Brookie, Brookie, Brookie!
Also, we saw Trevor at Sam's Club this weekend. It is very strange to have your kid say hi and start talking to another little boy out in public and not know the parents. We quickly realized that the boys were school mates but actually not in the same classroom. That's the really interesting thing about this school, even though all the classes are separate, everyone knows everyone else. Trevor is a ladybug. We are butterflies. It must sound strange to overhear someone introduce themself as a butterfly but it makes perfect sense to us.

BTW: our camera is broken if you are wondering why there haven't been new pictures lately

Cash got his first real bike!

Cooper poop potty

Cooper loves to sit on the potty. He has a little mini-seat that he keeps under the sink and he loves to run into the bathroom and get it out and sit on it. he never actually does anything but he is always very happy. he also pulls all the toilet paper out if he is left unsupervised! but tonight I caught him just as the right moment after his bath, crouching in the corner and we went and got on the potty and he actually pooped. he was so excited and happy for himself. he jumped off the seat and ran over to daddy and gave him a huge hug and said, "Cooper. Poop. Potty."
Last week Devin and Cash were playing tow trucks with the bike and the little car and somehow Cash got caught up in the rope and got a nasty rope burn on his neck. A very unfortunate location for a child that goes to a daycare that tracks every little scrape. The situation was very bad and very intense becaue the rope was old and the fibers came off in his neck and he was hot and sweaty so it stung really, really badly and he cried and howled for 30 minutes straight about it.

He was brave and it's healing well but the challenge now is going to be getting him not to pick the scab. He is very proud of himself when he peels a section of scab off.
