Cash makes all sorts of sound effects now. He can "ROAR" like a lion when i show him a picture of one in a book. He also points and roars at just about anything on the pages of a book - oops. When he drives his cars around the floor he makes the sound of the engine which is pretty cute and i think something his daddy taught him. Also he likes to swing things around and make a swooshing noise.
The stairs have become a new form of amusement for our boy. He used to deal with the stairs pretty delicately - crawling up to them, stopping at the top and putting one leg over and turning around to go down. Now that he can walk he just goes full steam ahead, practically running, toward the top of the stairs and doesn't have any intention of stopping when he gets to the edge. I think he likes the fact that we chase him (evident by him squeeling with joy) but i can't not chase him to the top of the stairs...
Cash has been coming home with some pretty serious bite marks & teeth bruises from daycare lately (finger, hand, ear, arm). Turns out that one of the little boys has a pretty bad habit of biting (reinforced at home by parents who don't nip-it-in-the-bud) and yesterday it got ugly when he bit one of the little girls really hard (harder than to leave a teeth-mark buise? wow) So when we brought it up to Sylvia she said that she has called her social worker to discuss it and the little boy has been separated from the group while she works on turning this bad habit around. Although my little social butterfly can't stand it that this little boy has to be on the other side of the divider and goes between the group and the quarantine area handing him toys and books.

oooh, poor cash. i have fears of being the mom of the biter, but we work on it at home all the time. there's a book, teeth are not for biting, you could give it to the mom. maybe you should talk to the mom directly. yesterday while out with sarah i as shocked at how rude some parents are and therefore the kids are. they were clueless, or maybe not, about how mean their kids were being to my boy. of course kids bite because they cannot communicate what's really bothering them--are the parents fighting all the time? not spending any time w. him, is there a new baby?
