Spitting mad

Cash is now also pushing his boundaries really hard and Chandler and I are in a race to figure out a discipline structure that works for us – and Cash. When Cash gets upset he collapses and cries. Usually we can get him out of this but mostly it is because we give him what he wants. I really want him to be able to understand that he can’t always have what he wants (Doritos for breakfast) so I’ve started talking to him about this and also about acceptable behavior. The worst though is that when he gets mad he spits and yells. This is a really hard part of parenting and thankfully he’s a good boy most of the time but this weekend I think we saw a glimpse of the future if we don’t get some discipline rules in place…more to come on that subject.

And, Chandler asked him if he wanted a spanking and he said "yeah"

wiley also asks for spankings. mostly because he's never had one. my advice, if you want it, is to ignore the tantrums (unless they become dangerous) and don't give in.
