Cash woke up at 3:30am this morning and was standing at the gate in his doorway calling for us. This is going to be a problem!
Cooper slept really well last night. He slept from 10pm - 2am and then again from 2:30am (after eating) - 5am. I put him to sleep on his side and tummy and he seemed to do a lot better and wasn't choking on the mucus in his throat all night.

is it worth putting the gate at the top of the stairs so he can come to you? or just too dark and far away?
